Girls Competitive Teams

Gymnastics The competitive program provides participants with the opportunity to compete in Artistic Gymnastics at Levels 2 and above with in both the USA Gymnastics program and the AAU program.  Competition can teach social values and help develop personal resources for handling success, failure, stress and frustration.  Its importance lies in the pursuit of challenging goals, in striving to win through hard work and dedication, and in learning the role of effort and focus in the achievement of success.  Horizon’s coaching staff strives to use coaching techniques that reinforce the positive aspects of competitive gymnastics training. There are a limited number of spaces available within the competitive program and gymnasts are chosen through an evaluation process.  Parents interested in this program for their child are encouraged to meet with the Gymnastics Program Director.
