About Us
Horizon Gymnastics & Dance Academy has been serving the Charlotte, Sarasota and Desoto Counties since 1984. Our school is owned and managed by Shelly Proa and offers many programs for girls and boys of all ages.
The school’s staff annually attends all USA Gymnastics Regional and State Gymnastics Clinics and events for certifications. Annual certification enables our staff with the best possible instruction for your child.
In all levels and in all disciplines of gymnastics, our staff members include:

Certifications are earned by completing designated "core" coursework and school-specific courses, hands-on teaching, and years of experience within the sport of gymnastics as former athletes, coaches, or judges. Horizon's certified staff provides the most up-to-date level of coaching.
